From Ponce Park to Henry Street: Peace River Wildlife Center’s Next Chapter Takes Shape

What an exciting and emotional time for Peace River Wildlife Center! Every day, we see more progress at our new Education Center on Henry Street. The roof is taking shape on the Education Building, raptor habitats are being built, and construction continues throughout the site. It is becoming easier to imagine the incredible new home we have been working toward for so long.
Last month, we gathered for our “Last Chapter at Ponce” celebration, giving our community an opportunity to come together, share memories, and recognize the important role our current Education Center has played in PRWC’s history. It was a wonderful reminder of just how much this special place has meant to our community and to PRWC.
While the celebration has passed, our Education Center at Ponce Park remains open as we prepare for the move. There is still time to visit before we begin this exciting transition.
As we look toward the next chapter, I am filled with gratitude for our staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, supporters, and everyone who has helped make this journey possible. Ponce Park will always be part of our story, but I cannot wait to see what we accomplish together at our new home!
If you would like more information about how you can be part of our new Education Center, please email me at [email protected] or call 941-637-3830.
